Meet Alex
I believe that therapy can be transformative in allowing us to move forward, helping us understand how our past experiences have shaped us. After working in the corporate world for many years, I now specialise as an integrative psychotherapist. I have undertaken extensive training in Psychotherapy at Birkbeck University, London and Regent’s University, London.
I work relationally, which means I believe that establishing trust is at the heart of our work together. Confidentiality and respect are fundamental elements of therapy, and I am committed to offering care that is respectful and responsive to your needs.
By offering a safe space for you to explore your thoughts and behavioural patterns, bringing them into awareness, I can help you feel more able to cope with challenging circumstances. As an integrative psychotherapist, I draw on a variety of theories and techniques to help inform my approach, and I will tailor our sessions according to what feels right for you.
I work both short-term and over longer periods with clients experiencing a wide range of symptoms, including but not limited to:
Anxiety
Anger
Bereavement
Depression
Eating disorders
Trauma & traumatic events
Suicidal thoughts
Self-esteem & identity
Work-related stress
How can therapy help?
Beginning therapy is a courageous and positive step, and I can provide a safe and supportive environment to explore thoughts, feelings and concerns you may find difficult to talk about with anyone else.
Therapy provides space to examine, recognise, and take control of our thinking, allowing us to identify behaviours and patterns that may be ingrained in our internal narrative.
Psychotherapy can help us to:
Increase self-awareness
Regulate our emotions
Find healthier ways of coping
Navigate stress
Steer us away from more harmful responses
