Practical questions

FAQ

Answers to the questions people most often ask before their first session.

Fees and cancellations

Fees are £85 per session. Each session lasts 50 minutes. A limited number of concessionary places are available for students and those on a low income. Please contact me to enquire about availability. If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment I require 48 hours' notice; otherwise you will still need to pay for any sessions missed. I accept payment in cash or by bank transfer.

Where do sessions take place?

I offer face-to-face, in-person therapy from a private and comfortable therapy room in two central London locations (WC1H 8BA and W1W 7AF), as well as sessions online.

Does everything I say remain confidential?

Yes, I adhere to strict ethical and professional guidelines set by both the BACP and UKCP.

How often does therapy take place?

Sessions are weekly. It is important to attend therapy weekly as this is how you will get the most out of therapy.

How many sessions will I need?

The length of therapy will be discussed in our first session and is usually based on your requirements. I offer both short-term and long-term therapy.

What type of therapeutic approach is right for me?

There are many kinds of therapeutic approaches and often these depend on clinical needs and what you are seeking from therapy. As I practise integratively, I am able to draw on different approaches, based on what I feel is right for you at that moment.

What can I expect in my first session?

Starting therapy for the first time can be daunting. However, it can be one of the most meaningful investments you can make in your wellbeing. In our first session we might explore what brings you to therapy and your background. Often, the first few sessions are about seeing whether we are a good fit for each other. Trust can take a while to build, and it can feel difficult opening up to someone at the beginning. This is normal, and a good therapist will understand this. It is also important to explore this directly with the therapist, as it can help the therapeutic work.

How do I contact you?
